| The MELSYS software package enables the transmission of alarms and events from automation systems to pagers, fax devices, telephone systems and via e-mail. It supports the continuous monitoring of systems, particularly when they are unmanned. The alarms received by the control system are sent directly and automatically to the receivers. The messages can be transmitted as text or as text to speech alarm annunciation and can be remotely acknowledged right through to the PLC level. The system has an integrated automatic redial and can switch to a different receiver in the event of a fault. It offers a project management option for several systems and intuitive drag and drop configuration. |

The connections to the HMI SCADA systems are integrated such that indication and alarm texts are directly transferred and processed. At each new alarm from he HMI SCADA, the text is polled again so that the management and updating of texts is no longer necessary. In some systems the alarms and indications are transferred to the control system automatically.All data can be made available using the import/export functions. This supports simple handling and fast configuration. |

Emergency standby schedule / shift management and telephone backup |

MELSYS offers an extremely flexible emergency standby scheduler, which lets you specify who can be reached, as well as when, where and how. The scheduler can have a resolution of up to 15 minutes and offers a range of different stages. You can enter as many schedules as you want. Configuration of the emergency standby scheduler is simple and intuitive. All shift schedules can be created using drag and drop. Quick and easy implementation of own emergency schedules for service/emergency personnel.

Security, redundancy and escalation system The following are just some of the services that are supported: The sophisticated escalation system ensures that, whatever the situation, MelSYS reaches the required service personnel. MelSYS can also be operated redundantly. A sophisticated log system enables complete tracking of all alarms, so that it is possible to check when alarms were sent and acknowledged. The flexibility of MELSYS in the event of a fault ensures extremely reliable notification of service and emergency standby personnel. System shutdowns and loss of production can be prevented to a large extent and when not entirely, then at least minimised. All changes, alarms and indications with which the system operates are logged and can be read out of the system at any time.
Remote value polling This function makes it possible to call MelSYS directly from any phone and mobile. |
